Fixing Climate: What Past Climate Changes Reveal About the Current Threat–and How to Counter It, by Wallace S. Broecker and Robert Kunzig

An autobiographical approach to the science of climate change, how it developed and why you should trust it (in a scientific way). Broeker is honest about his falling-away from a fundamentalist Christian upbringing, so this book may not be the best choice if you want to introduce most conservatives to the realities of global warming — they may be distracted by the religious issues. Libertarians and less theistic conservatives may find it mind-opening.
